Canada rules in the middle distances at WSDC

With three out of four gold medals to be earned in the middle distances, Canada raced to some outstanding results in the 1000m and 1500m at the World Single Distances Championships in Heerenveen last weekend. On the men’s side, Denny Morrison claimed his second world title in the 1500m after his first place finish at the 2008 WSDC in Nagano. On the women’s side, Christine Nesbitt finished first in the 1000m, as well as in the 1500m. In the men’s 1000m, Stefan Groothuis was first.
